Personally I think Jimbo Holmes was not carrying enough weaponary for his mission. The AR-15 with a hundred round mag could very easily have jammed. I would have added a MAC-10, maybe two, for backup. Of course Holmes may not have had the training on the MAC-10 he would have needed; liberals in Colorado have probably made the training illegal. 


I do not understand at all the choice of a shotgun as part of the kill package. It provides no advantage in kill ratio on a crowd, the accuracy lost with a shotgun is simply not compensated for by any increase in rate of fire. Holmes should have left the shotgun home (he could have rigged it as a very effective booby trap) and substituted one or two Glock G22s with additional mags. 


I would have completed Jimbo's special action wet kit with two KA-BAR combat knives.
