Governor Rick Perry declared today that liberal scare tactics were responsible for the mis-perception that he believes Social Security is a Ponzi scheme. He now says that the system is only broke and just needs fixin'. In fact, he says, Social Security is more like a Bernie Madoff scheme. According to Perry, if only the SEC and other big government bureaucrats had left Mr. Madoff alone the whole issue could have been fixed like he intends to do with Social Security. In fact, Governor Perry went further and called for Mr. Madoff's pardon by President Obama. "I intend to hire Mr. Madoff," said the governor. "Hell, if anybody can fix Social Security, it'll be Bernie Madoff."
