The Fourth of July was celebrated in the City of Shreveport, Louisiana, with fireworks and the renditions of several songs with the word “America” in the title. One of these songs was “American Woman.” The updated version of the song had the following lines expunged:
“American Woman!
Don’t need your war machines,
Don’t need your ghetto scenes,
Your coloured lights can hypnotize,
Sparkle someone else’s eyes.”
Obviously, the new American Woman Patriot, Sarah Palin, does not want to hear such things.
